At American Rug Laundry, we take great pride in our hands-on upholstery cleaning methods. With our ability to clean all types of fabrics, you can rest assured that your upholstery will be cleaned correctly. All upholstery and fine fabric cleaning will be done by an IICRC Certified Cleaning Technician. Certified technicians have had extensive training and know how to identify specific fabrics, test for dye stability to prevent color migration and rate soil conditions, enabling us to recommend a specific cleaning method for your fabric needs. Because each client's fabric needs are different, we at American Rug Laundry take great pride in tailoring a specific cleaning program for your needs.
The following steps are always taken when you entrust American Rug Laundry to clean and restore your furniture and fine fabrics.
- A thorough pre-inspection is done with all our clients to address all questions. Our technician will also explain our recommended cleaning procedures after completing a fabric analysis.
- We then brush your fabrics with a natural fiber brush to remove the loose and ground-in soil and debris.
- Pre-vacuuming is then performed to help remove the loose contaminations released by the brushing.
- We the pre-condition the fabric by usually applying a light mist of a fine fabric cleaning solution or by hand application of a fine fabric shampoo. this step is done to emulsify, lift and suspend the soil and debris embedded in your fabrics.
- We follow up by rinsing your fabrics with a rinsing agent to remove suspended soil. This will leave them clean, fresh and free of any residues.
- If necessary, we will set up a high speed air mover to speed up the drying process.
